Ignorance is no excuse

What if there was something that could replace fossil fuels, paper, plastics, wood pulp, cotton, building materials, and provide healthy food and medicines for all?

What if it was easy to produce, non polluting, self maintaining, benefited the environment AND the economy ?

         What if a Flying Saucer landed and some kind aliens offered Man this

Wonder-substance, with which to regain the balance of the Earth, sustain and nurture people and their environment and restore world economies ?

Wouldn't that be great !!

Guess what ? 

We don't need 'em. 

It's been around for millenia. 

 Did you really think our good mother Earth would not provide us with what we need ?

Or God - for that matter ?

In fact, it's been such an important contributer to human health and global economies for at least the last 8ooo years that it's inconceivable that you haven't heard of it, worn it, used it in various forms ( paper, plastics, clothes, car components, and 25,000 other uses).

If you knew more about it

wouldn't you be inclined to accept it as the Wonder substance it is ?

There's only one reason why you wouldn't hail it as the Solution

to many of our current problems...Ignorance.

FACTS

It was used by the Chinese thousands of years before Christ.

The Egyptions knew it well.

450 BC: Heroditus records it's common use.

70 BC: Roman Emperor Nero's surgeon, Dioscordes, praised it's use.

It's mentioned in the Bible. (Genisis chap. 30)

1563 AD: Queen Elizabeth 1 decreed that

land-owners with more than 60 acres MUST produce it.

Without it England would not have become a 'maritime superpower',

there would have been no Empire.

It was the largest national export of Russia for two hundred years.

Napoleon's disastrous invasion of Moscow in 1812 was

an attempt to cut off Britain's supply. 

Laws were made in Britain, Ireland and America to enforce it's production.

Knowledge of it granted Citizenship to the UK.

In the 19th century it was produced in every European and many African and Asian nations, and from Canada to Australia.

Two US Presidents - G.Washington and T.Jefferson - produced it,

used it and praised it in their writings.

Henry Ford produced a car - and fuel - with it. Shown at the Paris World fair in 1901.

In the early 2oth century many of it's previous uses were usurped

by the new emerging technologies.

With them came the new emerging

mental illness that we call  'corporate greed'.  

In 1937 a Tax Act was passed by the biggest Industrialists of the day

that effectively started us all down the dead-end path that has

led us to environmental pollution, increase of asthma and cancer,

catastrophic changes in climate, economic melt down 

and imminent global destruction.
